KAUKAU presents March and Gait (Marche et Démarche), a solo exhibition by Jungeun Lee.
The shape of the “Matinée” is borrowed from a traditional Korean rush weaving box. It is a cylindrical storage that is woven up in regular patterns with natural dyed rush.

Jungeun Lee is a weaver and textile designer based in Auckland, New Zealand. Founder of her own textile practice Cohn in 2014, Lee’s woven works have been exhibited extensively overseas in Seoul (Korea) and in Auckland. Lee started her practice of weaving and serigraphy after her textile major in 2003, and continued these techniques by experimenting in art and apparel design.
